Still waters run deep.

Cioppino

Is a tomato stew with all variety of fresh decent seafood: crab, salmon, bass, clam, prawn, mussel and scallop. You just couldn't afford to miss the chance to taste it in Seattle.

The Salty's locates on redondo Dr. facing puget sound, which is already part of the Pacific. You can even smell the salty of ocean and feel the breeze from the sea. I happened to watch the great sunset from the other side of the waters at the time I arrived there. I believe no one will complain about the ambience in this restaurant even the most fastidious won't disagree.

Ah, back to food. Yes, I ordered Cioppino along with chowder. It was a big portion, even for me! I really suggest you skip anything before the course no matter whatever the waiter may recommend. The best thing I liked about the soup was that it had good combination of seafood and tomato broth, making it a little bit sweet, sour and very fresh. However the crab was too salty (because we were in the Salty's?) and mussel was not in their freshest state. Anyway it was a nice try except the price. I paid $45 for this dinner, without any drink and dessert.
