This week I made a trip to Seattle to attend a project review meeting I'm involved in. At the front door of Company B, I signed the logbook and was about to step in, as before. The secretary stopped me and kindly asked me to enter through the backdoor. She told me as a foreigner I am not allowed to use the front door and required to be escorted through the back door. This new rule is given by the government to the good of homeland security. Well, I didn't know that the homeand security of US is much dependent on the use of a backdoor. What a.
BTW, another attendant from Germany was joking that the backdoor was for servants and slaves as we waited at the backdoor.

Any special security check at the back door? How do they tell foreigner s, from looking? How if somebody is already American citizen but looks like a foreigner?

B..sh.t. What a stupid rule. Well, no choice but to follow, hope it treats all foreigners the same.
